annotate lisp/faces.el @ 41395:0abfca935c80
(with-vc-properties): Don't bind `filename' locally.
(with-vc-file, edit-vc-file): Use `make-symbol' for local bindings to
avoid name clashes. Fix `lisp-indent-function' property for both.

555 The following attributes are recognized:

575 height (from the underlying face), and should return the new height.
25012 | 576 |
577 `:weight' | |
578 | |
579 VALUE specifies the weight of the font to use. It must be one of the

581 `semi-light', `light', `extra-light', `ultra-light'.
582 | |

595 VALUE specifies whether characters in FACE should be underlined. If

631 like a released 3D button. If STYLE is `pressed-button' draw a box
632 that appears like a pressed button. If STYLE is nil, the default if
633 the property list doesn't contain a style specification, draw a 2D
634 box. | |
635 | |
636 `:inverse-video' | |
637 | |
638 VALUE specifies whether characters in FACE should be displayed in
28840 | 639 inverse video. VALUE must be one of t or nil. |
25012 | 640 |
641 `:stipple' | |
642 | |
643 If VALUE is a string, it must be the name of a file of pixmap data.
644 The directories listed in the `x-bitmap-file-path' variable are
645 searched. Alternatively, VALUE may be a list of the form (WIDTH
646 HEIGHT DATA) where WIDTH and HEIGHT are the size in pixels, and DATA
647 is a string containing the raw bits of the bitmap. VALUE nil means
648 explicitly don't use a stipple pattern.
649 | |
650 For convenience, attributes `:family', `:width', `:height', `:weight',
651 and `:slant' may also be set in one step from an X font name:
652 | |
653 `:font' | |
654 | |
655 Set font-related face attributes from VALUE. VALUE must be a valid
656 XLFD font name. If it is a font name pattern, the first matching font
657 will be used. | |
658 | |
659 For compatibility with Emacs 20, keywords `:bold' and `:italic' can
660 be used to specify that a bold or italic font should be used. VALUE
31190 | 661 must be t or nil in that case. A value of `unspecified' is not allowed. |
662 | |
663 `:inherit' | |
664 | |
665 VALUE is the name of a face from which to inherit attributes, or a list
666 of face names. Attributes from inherited faces are merged into the face
667 like an underlying face would be, with higher priority than underlying faces."
