Find changesets by keywords (author, files, the commit message), revision number or hash, or revset expression.
(vc-cvs-diff): If backup files exist, diff them instead of doing "cvs diff" in order to avoid accessing the repository.

  There is no need to make change log entries for files such as NEWS,
  MAINTAINERS, and FOR-RELEASE.

The same applies for regenerating files like configure.
