Misc cleanup.
* progmodes/make-mode.el (makefile-bsdmake-rule-action-regex):
Use replace-regexp-in-string.
(makefile-mode-abbrev-table): Merge defvar and define-abbrev-table.
(makefile-imake-mode-syntax-table): Move init into defvar.
(makefile-mode): Use define-derived-mode.
