(gdb-inferior-status): New variable.
(gdb-force-mode-line-update): New function.
(gdb-resync, gdb-starting, gdb-signal, gdb-exited, gdb-stopped)
(gdb-exited): Use them.
(gdb-signal): New fuction.
(gdb-annotation-rules): Provide a rule for it.
