(Standard Faces): Other faces used in the fringe implicitly inherits from the fringe face. (Fringe Bitmaps): FACE in right-fringe and left-fringe display properties implicitly inherits from fringe face. (Customizing Bitmaps): Likewise for set-fringe-bitmap-face.
