32 <H1>7.3 Keywords Sidebar</H1>

33 <P>The Keywords sidebar displays keywords and comments for the active
|
|
|
34 image, and provides functions for editing them.</P>

35 <P>To toggle display of the Keywords sidebar press Control + K or

36 select “Keywords” from the View menu.</P>

40 that are associated to an image. They can be used to classify, group,

41 or describe; the uses for keywords are only limited by your

48 <P>The sidebar is comprised of three sections: Keywords, Comments and

52 fields. The left field is a text entry that allows direct typing of
|
|

53 one or more keywords. The right field is a list of favorite or often
|
|
|
54 used keywords that can be associated with the active image by filling
|

55 the check box next to the keyword.</P>

56 <P STYLE="margin-left: 0.79in">The <B>text entry</B> allows typing
|
|
|
57 keywords to associate them with the active image. Keywords entered
|
|
|
58 here can be separated by a space, tab, or comma; creating a new line
|
|
|
59 by pressing Enter will also separate keywords.</P>

60 <P STYLE="margin-left: 0.79in">The <B>favorite keywords</B> list
|
|
|
61 allows quick selection of commonly used keywords. A keyword is
|

|
62 enabled when the check box next to it is filled. The text entry will

63 update as words from the list are selected. To edit the favorite

64 keywords list activate the favorites button at the bottom of the

88 comment now:</B> Saving of changes to keywords and comments are

90 not yet been written to disk this button will be active, activating
|

94 <P><U>Favorite Keywords Dialog</U></P>
|

95 <P STYLE="margin-left: 0.79in">This dialog allows editing of the

96 favorite keywords list that is displayed in the Keywords sidebar.

97 Activating the Add button will create a new blank item at the current
|
|
|
98 position in the list, the new item will immediately change to the
|

99 editing state to allow entry of the new keyword. Activating the
|
|
|
100 Remove button will remove the selected keyword from the list. To edit
|
|
|
101 a row highlight it then click it or press Enter on the keyboard.</P>
