18 Evan: One small step for bird, one giant leap for birdkind... except
19 this is hardly one small step. A lot more has changed from Gaim 1.5.0
20 than just the name. Pidgin has a *very* attractive new look, a whole
21 new member of the family (Finch, formerly gaim-console) has been born,
22 and libpurple has come into its own as a solid, full-featured library
23 powering the greatest IM clients around. Bugs were fixed and
24 features were added by the hundreds (thousands?) since the last
25 major release, all while improving performance and resisting feature
26 creep. As Luke said, a ton of thought and effort has gone into
27 Pidgin 2.0.0; I'm proud to have played a part.
