Patch from Zac West which performs periodic WHO updates on IRC channel participants in order to track 'away' status, userhost, and real name. Plucked from a series of im.pidgin.adium commits.

This shell script just invokes dbus-send, see man dbus-send for how
to specify the parameters.

Examples:

   $0 PurpleCoreQuit

Use dbus-viewer to get the list of supported functions and their parameters.
