How is it that there's no programmatic way to get the output size of the hash functions without resorting to a hardcoded table? Or did I miss something?

You can also generate this documentation locally by installing doxygen and graphviz dot, then running "make docs" in the source tree. The documentation will be in the docs/html directory.
