6 John: This release is another somewhat rushed bugfix release to fix
7 a number of bugs that have come up since we released Pidgin 2.5.7.
8 Hopefully anything I broke there is fixed now, or at least made to be
9 less broken. Enjoy!

12 John: This release is really just a rushed fix for the broken Yahoo
13 protocol plugin. I spent way more time on this release than I care
14 to admit, so I hope that time is well spent and this fixes the issues
15 people have been having.

18 Ka-Hing: Many much bugfixes. Hooray. (Paul told me to say that)
19 Oh, no one has met Paul yet? He's awesome, he backported my fixes
20 to the release branch so I didn't have to checkout a
21 workspace... except I just did to NEWS to tell you all about
22 that. Oh and I actually did do something for this release, none of
23 which is user visible though. This basically applies to the rest
24 of the release as well, nothing exciting, but you definitely want
25 it.

27 Daniel: This should fix a number of annoying issues that some users
28 have encountered. We also would like to thank Veracode
29 (http://www.veracode.com) who performed a code analysis and found some
30 bugs that were addressed in this release.

32 Elliott: I feel like I'm repeating myself, but there are some more MSN
33 fixes that should make things better behaved at login as well, and
34 maybe you'll stop getting some of those annoying errors (though not all
35 are fixed yet). Some other bugfixes, plus the craziness that is the
36 libxml "structured error handler" make up the rest of this release.
