| 4 Kevin: This release is mainly a bug-fix release. It solves a few | |
| 5 known crashes and updates some of our artwork. Google's Summer of | |
| 6 code recently finished up. Some of our students are still working | |
| 7 on their branches and none have been merged into released code yet. | |
| 8 Look for some of those results to show up in Pidgin releases over the | |
| 9 coming months. | |

| 11 Elliott: I'm just commenting so Kevin wouldn't be the only one in NEWS | |
| 12 and no-one else seems to want to. Anyway, there's a couple MSN login | |
| 13 fixes, so try it out. The contact list problems might still be around, | |
| 14 but you can probably find a workaround in trac. And there's a tooltip | |
| 15 fix for our AIM friends, not that I had anything to do with it (except | |
| 16 closing many many duplicate tickets). | |

| 19 Daniel: Lots of good stuff in this release. Lots of people have worked | |
| 20 very hard on the updated MSN protocol, and it's finally time to bring | |
| 21 it to the world! There are myriad bugfixes, including some important | |
| 22 ones so you should be sure to update. | |

| 24 Hylke: Finally MSNP15 support. To celebrate this I refreshed a lot of | |
| 25 the smilies used in the protocol and added the long awaited indispensable | |
| 26 bunny icon. I think this is one of those releases that will make a lot | |
| 27 of users happy, especially MSN users. | |

| 29 Elliott: Oh look, my first NEWS! Well anyway, with that new MSNP15 | |
| 30 support, this release is set up to be a huge success and a total flop | |
| 31 all at the same time. Here's hoping it's the "huge success" one for you. | |
| 32 Those icon changes that Hylke made, while minor, really make things look | |
| 33 a little cleaner, I think. Oh yea, did I mention that MSNP15 stuff? | |

| 37 new MSN code into shape. Then he decided that wasn't enough and started | |
