Apparently the .PHONY bits are important for the revision reported in win32 builds to be accurate. it's a good thing I didn't test this before.

You can also generate this documentation locally by installing
doxygen and graphviz dot, then running "make docs" in the
source tree.  The documentation will be in the docs/html directory.
