(auto-mode-alist): Add pod, js, xbm and xpm and group trivial variants to shorten the list. (xml-based-modes): New var. (set-auto-mode): Give interpreter-mode-alist or <?xml or <!DOCTYPE declaration higher priority than auto-mode-alist.
