32 <H1>2.7 Status Bar</H1>
|
|
|
33 <P>The status bar contains information and details about the contents
|
|
|
34 of the main window. Information displayed includes the progress of
|
|
|
35 generating thumbnails, the number of files in the file list with byte
|
|
|
36 size, the current file selection count including byte size, details
|
|
|
37 about the currently displayed image, and the zoom setting. The
|
|
|
38 current sort preference is also displayed, and can be adjusted from
|
|
|
39 the status bar.</P>
|
|
|
40 <P>The status bar is comprised of five sections, from left to right
|
|
|
41 these are a progress bar, sort method, file list counts, image
|
|
|
42 details, and zoom setting. Each section is described below.</P>
|
|
|
43 <P><U>Progress Bar</U></P>
|
|
|
44 <P>The Progress bar updates to display the current state of thumbnail
|
|
|
45 generation. When this section contains no text, thumbnail generation
|
|
|
46 is idle. When “Loading thumbs...” is displayed,
|
|
|
47 thumbnails are currently being generated when GQview is idle; the
|
|
|
48 progress bar will update to display the percentage of thumbnails that
|
|
|
49 are completed.</P>
|
|
|
50 <P><U>Sort method</U></P>
|
|
|
51 <P>This is the method used to sort image names in the file list.
|
|
|
52 Clicking or activating this field will display a menu to allow
|
|
|
53 selection of the sort method.</P>
|
|
|
54 <P STYLE="margin-left: 0.79in"><B>Name</B>: Images are sorted by file
|
|
|
55 name.<BR><B>Number</B>: Images are sorted by natural numerical order,
|
|
|
56 such that, for example, 9_name.jpg will be listed before
|
|
|
57 10_name.jpg.<BR><B>Date</B>: Images are sorted by file date on
|
|
|
58 disk.<BR><B>Size</B>: Image are sorted by file size on
|
|
|
59 disk.<BR><B>Ascending</B>: Toggles between increasing and decreasing
|
|
|
60 sort order. A check will appear next to this entry to indicate
|
|
|
61 ascending sort order.</P>
|
|
|
62 <P><U>File list</U></P>
|
|
|
63 <P>This section displays the count of files that appear in the file
|
|
|
64 list, including the total byte size. The number of files selected is
|
|
|
65 displayed in parenthesis, including the total byte size of the
|
|
|
66 selected files. The slide show status is also displayed here; when a
|
|
|
67 slide show is running, “Slideshow” will appear, the text
|
|
|
68 will change to “Paused” when a slide show is in the
|
|
|
69 paused state.</P>
|
|
|
70 <P><U>Image Details</U></P>
|
|
|
71 <P>This section displays the dimensions (width x height) and file
|
|
|
72 byte size of the image that is active in the image pane. When the
|
|
|
73 format of the file in the image pane can not be determined the
|
|
|
74 dimensions will show as “(0 x 0)”, in addition “(no
|
|
|
75 read permision)” may appear if the file permissions do not
|
|
|
76 allow reading the contents of the file.</P>
|
|
|
77 <P><U>Zoom</U></P>
|
|
|
78 <P>This section displays the current zoom ratio. A ratio of 1:1 is
|
|
|
79 the image's original size. When the left number is larger the image
|
|
|
80 is displayed larger than original size, when the right number is
|
|
|
81 larger the image is displayed smaller.</P>
|
|
|
82 <P>A tilde (~) appears within the ratio display when the zoom is set
|
|
|
83 to fit the image within the display area. In this zoom mode the ratio
|
|
|
84 is automatically adjusted, and the displayed ratio may not be the
|
|
|
85 actual ratio because the status bar display rounds the actual value
|
|
|
86 to the nearest tenth (0.1).</P>
|
|
|
