This removes some stuff for im image that isn't used anymore.
Basicly one of the things I did when i brought it back, was to make it so
the host widget doesn't have to do any special handling for its imhtml to
support <img id="###"> tags. And while this goal was achieved in 0.78,
there's still code all over the place that checks flags that aren't used
and iterates over lists that will always be empty. This doesn't remove all
of it, but removes some of it anyway.

9102 | 4 Luke: A very long time, once again, since the last release. I think |
5 its mostly worth it. A few of you will still have trouble with msn
6 but we've worked out a number of bugs even there. Thanks to heroic
7 efforts on the part of Mark, we closed 400 some odd reports this
8 month. We are also welcoming Tim to the project, a very active
9 crazy patch writer who has brought massive improvements to WYSIWYG
10 and direct im this release. Again, it still won't work for every
11 one, but it will work for more people than it used to. Most
12 noticably, this release brings a LARGE simplicfication of the
13 preferences available. Please don't complain if your favorite
14 preference is no longer there. Take some time to think about
15 how and if it could be useful to a majority of people who use
16 Gaim in ways nothing like you. You'll find that the answer will
17 usually be that the preference isn't all that important.
18 | |
9103 | 19 Tim: I continued with the other crazy patch writers in fixing those |
20 WYSIWYG bugs. Then they went and made me a developer. Which is cool.
21 They told me I could commit WYSIWYG and Yahoo! changes. So I went
22 and fixed IM Image and Direct Connect in AIM for some reason. I also
9106 | 23 added some new Yahoo! smileys at least. Also you change your link |
24 color in your ~/.gtkrc-2.0 file now. I might work on some of those
25 new Yahoo! features for next release, like buddy icons. But don't
26 count on it. Thanks to everyone who congratulated me. And thanks
27 to all our Crazy Patch Writers, who now expect me to apply all their
28 Crazy Patches. | |

9106 | 40 Gary: Congrats to Tim, no more competing for most ChangeLog entries. |
41 This means you _should_ be winning every release. Anyways, I didn't
42 finish nearly as much as I wanted to for this release but all of that
43 and then some should appear in 0.79.
44 | |
9108 | 45 Sean: I'll write my entry down here tonight. Removing preferences |
46 was my big crusade this week, and the team did a great job at it, but
47 I still have a nagging feeling that our preferences are still overwhelming.
48 Everyone's been doing a real great job; it's entirely my fault we keep
49 failing to meet our three-week schedule. Send your complaints this way.
50 | |
9114 | 51 Nathan: I really didn't do much thanks to exams, and graduation, and all |
52 of that fun stuff. For next release, I'll have all new excuses, like my
53 new job, or maybe something I haven't even thought of yet. Oh yeah, and
54 a big warm welcome to Tim!
55 | |
8762 | 56 0.77 (04/22/2004): |
57 Sean: We're back to a somewhat regular release cycle now. Hooray!
58 WYSIWYG is much improved in this release, and you can now copy and paste
59 rich text to and from Gaim and other applications (see: Mozilla, Evolution
60 OpenOffice). Also, Novell has released their first release of their
61 GroupWise plugin, included in this release. Good stuff all around.
62 | |
8763 | 63 Luke: Only a week "late" this time around, much nicer than the delay |
64 before the last release. Anyway, this release sees a HUGE number of
65 improvements to the WYSIWYG support, much thanks to all involved. If
66 you weren't impressed before, you should be now! This release also
67 sees the end of our TOC support, no one has been working on this in
68 some time and its causing problems. DON'T USE IT!. Also plugin
69 authors will want to take note of the fact that the plugin api version
70 changed. A nice solid release for you all :-)
71 | |
8764 | 72 Ethan: Once again I thought about doing some things and committed |
73 things that other people did. This development model is awesome. I
74 helped Mark refactor some stuff and our collective code ownership
75 helped us utilize a coherent system metaphor during our pair program-
76 ming sessions. It was extremely extreme. Look for some hard crypto
77 lovin' from yet another crazy contributor in the near future...
78 | |
8765 | 79 Ka-Hing: I actually did something for this release... or rather, the |
80 previous release, but LSchiere2 didn't commit that until this release.
81 So blame him. System logging is back, so you can log people's signon/
82 off/away/idle-ness again. There may be bugs with it, I don't know, not
83 like I use it. I will try to work on something that I will actually use
84 for the next release.
85 | |
86 Etan: Looking for someone to pair program with.

8540 | 96 0.76 (04/01/2004): |
8548 | 97 Sean: Yeah, it's been a long time since the last release, and despite |
98 what others may tell you, we were just really lazy. This is pretty
99 much just 0.75 again, but, like, someone changed the "Info" icon and
100 I think, like, the Chinese translation may have been updated. We did
101 nothing interesting on it at all. Others may tell you "we haven't just
102 been lazy," or "you guys will find that we've managed to do some neat
103 stuf in this one." They lie. All of them.
9102 | 104 |
8540 | 105 Luke: Okay, normally I wait for Sean to go first, but he said to commit. |
106 Its been a few months since the last release, but we haven't just been
107 lazy. A very long ChangeLog for you all. Most notably of course is the
108 addition of WYSIWYG input for chats and conversations. Many thanks to
109 DAYS of long work by Sean, Gary Kramlich, Kevin Stange, Tim Ringenbach,
110 and Stu Tomlinson for their efforts writting, fixing, and testing this.
111 Without the dedicated support of our crazy patch writters, this release
112 would have taken yet longer. Sean also has yahoo working again, with some
113 assistance from our friends over at Trillian, you may all officially
114 rejoice. We also have a large number of bug fixes, closing more than 200
115 bug reports this month alone.

8542 | 124 Mark: Our crazy patch writers rock. Gary Kramlich, Tim Ringenbach, |
125 Kevin Stange, and Stu Tomlinson did an amazing job of tying up

8547 | 127 |
8543 | 128 Rob: My birthday is in a few days. I like cool stuff. Buy me something |
129 grand!! | |
8542 | 130 |
8547 | 131 Tim: Luke said write a NEWS, so I thought I would. There's a room |
132 list dialog now. And Nathan and I doubled the number of protocols that
133 can transfer files. After that I got lazy/busy and let Gary, Kevin,
134 and Stu fix all the bugs.
135 | |
8551 | 136 Nathan: Rob happens to share a birthday with my sister. So far she's |
137 been very vague about what she wants. She's not an easy person to shop
138 for. As for things you probably care more about, this release has so
139 much in it that I've forgotten about most of it. The stupidest of the
140 bugs from 0.75 are fixed. Jabber has a first pass at file transfer
141 support (no proxy support yet). SOCKS 5 proxy support may have gotten
142 a little better as a side-effect. Twinkies and penguin points to all
143 of the crazy patch writers, who did more than their fair share this
144 release. | |
145 | |
8553 | 146 Ethan: My birthday was yesterday, and not on the same day as Rob |
147 and Nathan's sister. And I don't mean that Rob and Nathan have the
148 same sister. For this release, I thought about making IRC better, I
149 thought about making Tcl better, and I committed patches from several
150 others who actually did these things. And probably some other
151 things, too. Let's hear it for crazy patch writers, and for the open
152 source philosophy that lets them get so CRAZY.
153 | |
8047 | 154 0.75 (01/09/2004): |
155 Rob: Woah, what's this? Me? Making a NEWS post!? Say it ain't so!
156 That's right, kiddos, I'm finally coming out of my reclusiveness.
157 I had a pretty shitty few months, and also just needed a break from
158 things. But, I'm back, and that's good. Right? Yes. And now,
159 a little word from Eric Warmenhoven.. :P
160 | |
8049 | 161 Eric: Ah, Rob and Eric. Just like the good ol' days. Now, if |
162 you'll excuse me, I have to go make some commits with Led Zeppelin
163 lyrics as my commit logs. heh. What do you mean, I look a lot
164 like Sean Egan? I'm... oh fine, you got me. It's really just Sean
165 in an Eric Warmenhoven costume.
166 | |
167 So, Yahoo! works again, and that's good. And 0.76 is going to have
168 something _very_ neat.
169 | |
8050 | 170 Nathan: You're running out of excuses to not use Jabber. Our chat |
171 support is now bar-some, quickly approaching bar-none! Everything
172 else in Jabber got neat improvements too. I'll leave it up to you
173 to figure out what they were.

247 login stuff, now that it is finalized in the XMPP drafts. Oh, and
248 we now have a release notification plugin, so you can find out when

6134 | 484 Sean: Although I tend to go right here in the two slot in NEWS, |
485 we don't always commit in this order. This is the third time I've
486 rewritten this because the jerks below me keep commiting while I'm
487 writing causing mass conflictination. Grrr. Stupid jerks. Anyway,
488 this is Gaim 0.65. Like other Gaim releases, this allows you to
489 converse with people far away over the "Internet." That's about it.
490 It's really not that interesting. In fact, I wouldn't even bother
491 reading the other people's NEWS. It's all boring. There's some
492 crap about forest fires and fangs and claws. It's really boring.
493 Great, now Luke just committed NEWS causing more conflictination.
494 I wouldn't bother reading his either. Oh, and I don't want to thank
495 Megan (Cae) or Kevin (SimGuy). They're stupid jerks too. Grrr...
496 | |
6129 | 497 Mark: I actually did stuff for this release. Go me. I probably |
498 shouldn't speak for all of us, but I'm going to anyway: We feel that
499 this release is one of Gaim's best. It should be relatively bug
6135 | 500 free, and the code is cleaner than ever, thanks to lots of work by |
6129 | 501 Christian and Nathan. We had some help from a few civilians |
502 finding and fixing bugs. Thanks to Megan (Cae), Ka-Hing Cheung
6130 | 503 (javabsp), and Kevin Stange (SimGuy) for their work. Man, I was just |
6129 | 504 looking at Sean's NEWS entry for 0.64--that's talent. Also, stay |

6133 | 529 Luke: Wow! Finally releasing 0.65! Christian, Nathan, and Mark have |
530 worked really hard for this release, all the credit goes to them.
531 The new preferences are awesome, and there are more bugs fixed for
532 this release than in the last 3 or 4 releases. Your MSN should work
533 reliably again, your preferences saved, your accounts resort, the
534 list goes on and on. A couple preferences, most notably your buddy
535 list sorting preference won't be imported, but almost all of them
536 will be and its probly a good idea for you to take a second look
537 through preferences again anyway, alot of you are starting to

5196 | 647 Luke: I didn't do much here besides the odd translation patch and a couple |
648 bug fix patches. This is primarily a bug fix release, and much needed at
649 that. Didn't get a chance to write sorting code, work has been busy.
650 Hopeefully it will happen for 0.63.
651 | |
5197 | 652 Mark: Gaim is coming along quite beautimously. I'm going to eat |
653 my Pop-tarts now. | |
654 | |
5198 | 655 Nathan: oh dot sixty two. There are a lot of bugs fixed in this release, |
656 and one major new feature. Our Jabber plugin now supports XHTML-IM. In
657 plain english, this means that you can now format your jabber messages,
658 and other people will see the formatting. GtkIMHTML still needs some
659 work to get it to parse valid XHTML-IM better, but that will come in time.
660 That time would come sooner if my CS prof accepted "I was hacking on Gaim"
661 as a valid excuse for an extension ;-)
662 | |
5058 | 663 0.61 (04/07/2003): |
5059 | 664 Rob: Nathan commited his news first. However, I'm cooler so I'm putting |
665 my entry above his. Yeah, so, there were some DnD issues with 0.60. I
666 blame it on the rain. It was falling, falling. I blame it on the
667 faucet. It drips all night.
668 | |
5073 | 669 Sean: I committed my news after Rob. I'm cooler than Nathan (by far) but |
670 not as cool as Rob. So I go here. Actually, I didn't do anything since
671 0.60 other than commit some other peoples patches. The one from Dave Camp
5079 | 672 is cool. How 'bout this snow? Isn't that crazy? Oh, and thanks to |
673 everyone who wished me a happy birthday.
5073 | 674 |
5058 | 675 Nathan: You want frequent releases? You got 'em ;-) Chip wrote some |
676 cool new pounce stuff, and things shouldn't get weird when you drag
677 groups and buddies around. It's bad enough having 1 of some of my
678 buddies on my list, I definitely don't need duplicates. Being that I
679 have class in the morning, I'll just raise my juice glass for this one.

5076 | 687 Luke: Okay, i'm probly the least cool, so I'll go last. I committed a few |
688 patches from other people here, nothing earth shattering though. The biggest
689 thing in this release is the group re-ordering bug fix, having that fixed
5079 | 690 will make for fewwer questions. Get used to using releases people, we want |

699 Rob: Wow. So, it has been a really long time since we started the
700 gtk2 fork. It's finally ready for public consumption. Sean is about
701 to go out and buy a case of beer. My roommate is downstairs right
702 now pouring me a shot of his choice. Everyone, raise your beers if
703 you've got them. It's been a cool almost 10-months of development.
704 I hope you all enjoy. Drink'em if you got'em!
705 | |
5024 | 706 Sean: I'm writing this 3 minutes before my 21st birthday. Nobody can |
707 believe we're finally ready to relase 0.60. Many thanks to everyone
708 who helped out; I'm convinced that Gaim 0.60 is the best IM client to
709 date (only to be bested by 0.61). There's WAY too much stuff to mention.
710 Even the ChangeLog is somewhat incomplete. Yay, I'm 21 now! Everyone
711 enjoy! :) | |
712 | |
5025 | 713 Nathan: Happy birthday Sean! Rob decided to let me start cleaning up |
714 after everyone, so here I am. "sexy" is the only word that can be used
715 to describe 0.60. Prepare to be shocked and amazed. /me raises his

749 didn't go out on time. Oh well. I would like to welcome
750 Jim Seymour aboard the development team. He's going to be taking
751 over the work on our Jabber code as well as doing various other
752 nit picking. He likes to pick nits, nats, and umm, knots, I think.
3238 | 753 |
3243 | 754 Sean: This release has a long ChangeLog. Higlights include an |
755 important security fix for MSN and a few nice new features.
756 Not *much* cooler than 0.57--but we're making progress ;)
757 | |
3244 | 758 Jim: Hmmm... Rob said I have to say *something*, so here it is: |
759 Rob's a mango. | |
760 | |
3173 | 761 0.57 (04/25/2002): |
3180 | 762 Rob: Not too much in this release, as Sean said below. (This is |
763 what happens when the bottom person goes first.) New translation,
764 a few fixes, secure msn hotmail logins, blah blah blah. As Sean
765 said, the next release will be cooler. If only you could read
766 our minds ;-). | |
767 | |
3179 | 768 Sean: Nothing too special here, but a critical Yahoo fix that |
769 ensures Yahoo! will work when they discontinue the old protocol
770 all the other 3rd party clients are using. Next release will be
771 cooler, I promise. | |
3173 | 772 |
3144 | 773 0.56 (04/11/2002): |
774 Rob: Well, what do you know. I have another headache. I always have
775 these damned headaches. I got pissed off with the way GtkTree looks.
776 I wanted to move to using GtkCTree. I think they're pretty.
777 Unfortunately, GtkCTree sucks. After a little digging through
778 the code, I managed to molest GtkTree into looking like
779 GtkCTree. Thanks to everyone that helped track down that one
780 annoying style problem.
781 | |
782 Sean: Hello. This is another minor release while Rob and I finish
783 up on some bigger projects. We're reworking a lot of the UI to make
784 it easier to use, nicer looking, and more compatible with gtk2.
785 I've also been trying to bring the Yahoo plugin up to date, so it
786 will work for Indian users and avoid a potential problem in the near
787 future. | |
3114 | 788 |
3113 | 789 0.55 (03/29/2002): |
790 Rob: 0.55 is here. I've been away for a few days on business. Sean
791 has been on Spring Break. Therefore, this release is mostly a patch
792 release. It does fix some bugs and makes a few thing slightly cooler,
793 so it's better in that aspect, I suppose. Enjoy.
794 | |
3110 | 795 Sean: This is mostly a bugfix release. I'm on Spring Break, not |
796 doing any coding at all. But lots of people sent in great patches
797 anyway. Thanks guys!
3058 | 798 |
3053 | 799 0.54 (03/14/2002): |
800 Rob: Well, here we are. 0.54. We got a lot of fun things in this
801 release. Better working SSI, Image sending, protocol specific
802 smiley faces, and a whole lot of triscuits. *gobble*
803 | |
3054 | 804 Sean: We fixed a lot of bugs in this one, and probably introduced |
805 a bunch too. ;) We were both really busy, and did all the coding
806 late at night when we were tired, so if something isn't working,
807 it's probably just tired code. Enjoy the triscuits!
2994 | 808 |
2993 | 809 0.53 (02/28/2002): |
810 Rob: Well, we missed yesterday's release. That's Okay, I head a
811 nasty headache. You can all just deal. ;-)
812 | |
813 | |
814 Sean: Neat Goodies! Whee!! Oscar got a lot of great additions.
815 It can do Screen Name formatting, it can save and store your buddy
816 list on the server, it can do typing notifications in Direct
817 Connections, and yes, it can receive IM Images! Sending images will
818 be added in the next release. MSN and Yahoo! can do typing
819 notification too. Hooray!
820 | |
2978 | 821 |
2961 | 822 0.52 (02/17/2002): |
2965 | 823 Rob: Well, after a long delay we're finally ready for another release. |
824 I finally got settled into my new apartment, the new job is going
825 well, and I finally have internet connectivity again. You can expect
826 us to be back on our usually bi-monthly schedule. Enjoy these fixen,
827 as they resolve a few connectivity issues. :-)
828 | |
829 Sean: It looks like things are back on track now. Eric left which is
830 sad. He's done so much for Gaim, and I know we're all thankful.
831 Thanks Eric! I'll be stepping in and do more development, but I can
832 never replace Eric. This release fixes a long-standing problem in
833 MSN. If you've gotten errors when trying to connect to MSN, you want
834 this release. If you've suddenly found yourself unable to connect to

1192 | |
1289 | 1193 0.11.0-pre1 (12/03/2000): |
1199 | 1194 Rob: Hey guys! Guess what!? Yup, you're correct! It's the pre1 |
1195 release of 0.11.0. We have all sorts of goodies in this release!
1196 Check out the ChangeLog file. As always if you find any bugs,
1197 please report them on www.sourceforge.net/projects/gaim/
1195 | 1198 |
1199 You may find several small bugs as this is still a prerelease.
1192 | 1200 |
1199 | 1201 You may want to note that my IRC plugin does not have full |
1202 functionality as of yet. All of the important / commands will be
1203 added before the final release. Also, if someone could send me
1204 some good buddylist pixmaps for the irc plugin then I'd much
1205 appreciate it. Thanks to everyone who made this new release possible!
1194 | 1206 |
1195 | 1207 If you have any ideas, comments, or suggestions, please let us know |
1199 | 1208 either by e-mail or via the source forge message board at the URL |
1209 above. :) | |
1194 | 1210 |
1192 | 1211 |
1195 | 1212 Eric: So what was Yay! For Gaim!? Yay was the codename for the |
1213 Yahoo plugin. The whole point of all of these changes was I wanted to
1214 make a proof-of-concept plugin that would let Gaim sign into Yahoo. It
1215 turned out to be pretty much impossible with the old code. So,
1216 Rob and I hacked gaim so we could do just that. There's now a whole new
1217 class of plugins, Protocol Plugins, that let users dynamically add new
1218 protocols to Gaim. Just load the plugin, and create a new account that
1219 uses that protocol, and you're set! Yay! (Oscar and TOC are both still
1220 static. Gaim is, after all, primarily an AIM client.)

293 | 1386 Rob: Go Watch `Road Trip'. |
1387 | |
170 | 1388 0.9.15: |
219 | 1389 Hey boy's and girls. There's not much to say here this time. |
1390 We're loving Southern California, the new job's going great. We just
1391 got our company website up and the product development is going pretty
1392 smooth. Life's pretty sweet now.
1393 | |
1394 We've hacked up all kinds of goodies for you in 0.9.15. There's
1395 some file transfer (receive) support for those of you who have been
1396 wanting it for a while. There's some other misc. goodies tossed in as
1397 well. Enjoy!! Oh yeah, we need a new website. Come up with a sweet
1398 design and get in touch with me. The current site is at:
1399 http://www.marko.net/gaim
1400 | |
1401 Thanks much! | |
1402 | |
170 | 1403 |
76 | 1404 0.9.14: |
104 | 1405 Well, there's a few random hacks and fixes in here, along with |
1406 a little suprise. You guessed it, kiddos, support for plugins! Happy
1407 hacking! | |
76 | 1408 |
56 | 1409 0.9.13: |
69 | 1410 Not much to say for this release. Bug fixes, That's all. Look |
1411 for the goodies I promised in 0.9.13 to appear in 0.9.14 which should be
1412 released very soon now.
56 | 1413 |
71 | 1414 By the way, our CVS is now hosted over at source forge. Go check |
1415 it out at http://www.sourceforge.net. Please check there before submitting
1416 any bug reports (You can read our CVS comments to see if we have fixed any
1417 problems). | |
1418 | |
7 | 1419 0.9.12: |
25 | 1420 Well guys, looks like we got some nifty things in this version. |
1421 TrueType Fonts are supported for those XFSTT buffs out there (or whatever
1422 else you use). A crap load of those plaguing memory leaks have FINALLY been
1423 fixed. My brother, Jeramey, and a new friend Peter Teichan helped stomp
1424 those babies out. A rad guy by the name of Eric Warmenhoven has been
1425 really sweet lately and has all but rewritten the Gnome Applet support :).
1426 He submitted patch after patch. I finally got annoyed with him (just kidding bud)
1427 and gave him CVS access. Look for Gnome Applet support in Gaim to start improving.
1428 That's about all for now. I wanted to get this release out there. File Receive
1429 support will be in 0.9.13 which is due out soon.
7 | 1430 |
0 | 1431 0.9.11: |
1432 Jeramey got a new Comfy Chair! Its very very comfy! Whee!
1433 Jim also had a little hyper-drunken moment and started hacking away at

1434 a new configuration format for Gaim. Looks like we're running .gaimrc |
0 | 1435 version 1 now. Gotta love it. I got bored and hacked in a couple font |
1436 properties that will, in time, contain more features. That's about it
1437 for this version -- cept for that memory leak we fixed. Shush! We're
1438 not plumbers! -- rob

1440 ** Extra special update **
1441 | |
1442 Well guys, it looks like we all stopped working on gaim, moved to California,
1443 and took up a new job. Don't worry though, those beach bums out here havent
1444 worn off on us yet. I've decided to pick up the Gaim torch myself and continue
1445 development ont he prohect. Hopefully we wont have any more five month braks in
1446 the project. Sorry about that, guys :)
1447 | |
1448 0.9.10: | |
1449 Umm. Dont ask. Silly memory leak. For those of you who
1450 wondered, you were losing about 256 bytes every 25 seconds for each
1451 person you have on your contact list. Make fun of us. Better yet ..
1452 Send us beer. We'll do better :)
1453 | |
1454 0.9.9: | |

1456 problems with Gaim working properly, please check out the FAQ file. It |
0 | 1457 contains a nice fix submitted by one of our users. I hope this works for |
1458 you guys! | |
1459 Jim appears to have intoxicated himself. This is, as always, a
1460 Good Thing (tm). His late-night adventure with the liquid-bread food group
1461 lead to the birth of a nice little feature called `The Lag-O-Meter'. Dont
1462 ask, just try it out :). It is pretty pointless if you have a super-fast
1463 connection but if you are a modem user, like many of us are, then try it out.
1464 There's also some idle preferences and some other little random
1465 bug fixes. Check'em out yo :)
1466 | |
1467 0.9.8: | |
1468 Get Along Lil' Doggies. Heh. Looks like we have yet another new
1469 version of gaim for you guys to play with. Be gentle now, it has a few
1470 new fetures. The HTML widget is now more robust and we have *da da da*
1471 HTTP proxy support.
1472 Oh By The Way, Do not pay too much attention to what we are doing
1473 with this release. We are all a little bit happy tonight. You must love
1474 life. This is a special release of gaim. We will be releasing some wonderful
1475 photographs soon .. or perhaps if we get the bloody webcam working then we
1476 will take a couple of quick snapshots.

1477 Looks like the Gaim developers convention (cool name huh) that we |
0 | 1478 had this weekend in Auburn, AL went wonderfully :). yum yum yum. Hahahah. Oh |
1479 by the way. Beware of insecure rednecks in the deli. Bad things.
1480 In (non)related news, Jeramey could not successfully slaughter the
1481 one pound hamburger that he ordered. (I think he could have done it but he
1482 wasn't feeling very well at the time).
1483 Oh Yes, New Logo Too :) You likes? Thanks, Naru!
1484 Just a little side-note: it looks like we didnt make the release that
1485 we had expected during the Gaim Convention. Maybe we partied too much? I am
1486 not sure. I remember watching the sun rise before I went to bed, though.
1487 Oh well. Here's your release! Enjoy!
1488 By The Way, we have uploaded our party pictures to a website.
1489 http://www.dorky.net/gaim/party/ They are nothing spectacular but I hope you
1490 enjoy them! :). | |
1491 | |
1492 0.9.7: | |
1493 Well, boys and girls, it's that time again! Yup, time for the good
1494 release fairy to come bless us with her infinite wisdom and divine presence.
1495 Umm, yeah, something like that. Anyways, this release has several little
1496 "bad" network fixes (as Jim likes to say) and a couple touch-ups to a few
1497 other features. It also features preliminary oscar support. Thanks to Jim
1498 and Adam ("the libfaim guy") hehe :) We have also corrected a problem with
1499 gaim not wainting to correctly save your password if you have an underscore
1500 in it. Thanks to w1za7d for pointing out the underscore problem. ' and \
1501 have also been fixed in passwords. :o)
1502 | |
1503 0.9.6: | |
1504 Sorry about the little segfaulting bugs in the past release. Rob
1505 is stupid. :). Anyways, they have been patched up and a couple new features
1506 have been added. I hope you guys enjoy.
1507 | |
1508 0.9.5: | |
1509 Well we added a myriad of new features to this release. (A lot of
1510 small buggie fixes too.) If you need a detailed list just check out the
1511 ChangeLog. We now have a new webpage design and have added a FAQ to the
1512 distribution. Before coming to us with any problems please take a quick
1513 look through the FAQ to make sure we havent already covered your question.
1514 Also, thanks to our beloved Web Monkey, FlynOrange, we have all
1515 learned the true power of foam weapons, slinkies, and whoopie cushions. Hmm
1516 gotta love those pranks, eh?
1517 | |
1518 0.8.0: | |
1519 Well, just starting the NEWS file. I'll try to remember what's new
1520 from the last version. Hmmm. BIG code reorg. Import/export, buddy pounce
1521 among the major new features. Autoconf script too, which is a big win.
1522 Apologies to those who submitted patches which haven't made it in.. I
1523 promise, the next version! This code reorg took up a lot of my time, and I
1524 want to get it out there.
1525 |
